Dedrick D. Williams Arrested In XXXTentacion Murder Case

Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of young rapper XXXTentacion.

Dedrick D. Williams, 22, was taken into custody by Flordia's Broward County Sheriff's Dept. Wednesday, June 20. TMZ reported he's been booked for first-degree murder. Dedrick D. Williams was arrested Wednesday (June 20) evening and charged with first degree murder, as well as violating probation for a prior charge related to vehicle theft and driving without a valid license.

Police had surveillance video to help during the investigation. He posted a picture of a tattoo he says he inked on the abdomen of rapper Kodak Black, reading "Road Runner".

Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives arrested Dedrick Devonshay Williams, of Pompano Beach, Fla. for the murder of Jahseh Onfroy, also known as XXXTentacion.

XXXTentacion was leaving RIVA Motorsports in his BMW when he was fatally shot Monday afternoon in Deerfield Beach, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said.

XXXTentacion (birth name Jahseh Onfroy) was shot and killed on June 18 in Deerfield Beach, just outside of Miami. The Daily News adds a search for the second suspect by the authorities is still unknown.

"But despite the domestic violence charges and a lack of traditional publicity, XXXTentacion debuted at number one this year on the U.S. chart with his second album, entitled "?".

Williams has a lengthy criminal record. Not only was Williams on probation for grand theft auto, but he's been arrested for the same crime multiple times.

The late rapper released two albums during his short career selling more than two million albums and over 7 million singles.

His ex Geneva Ayala, who accused him of the abuse, tweeted about how upset she was following his death.

According to local media reports, he had spent time in jail and was awaiting trial on allegations of domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend.
