White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took to Twitter to hit back at a CBS News report that said she's preparing to leave her position by the end of the year. Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted about an hour after CBS News reported she was leaving at the end of the year. "I was at my daughter's year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my "plans to leave the WH" without even talking to me". Shah is also considering leaving, but hasn't decided on an exact date yet.
Not to be picky... but that's not an explicit denial of the report.
She became a senior adviser to Trump in 2016 after managing her fathers presidential bid, which attracted just one delegate.
Sanders has been the White House press secretary for less than a year.
In response, CBS stated that "when reached Wednesday evening, both (Sanders and Shah) declined to comment on the record".
Several White House staffers have left the administration over the last several months, some voluntarily and some involuntarily.
In an effort to address all the leaks emanating from the Trump administration, there are plans afoot to slowly whittle down the White House communications team (according to the latest batch of leaks).
