The working title of the movie is "Project X" and it's scheduled to be released next year.
The plot centres around a Chinese private security contractor (Chan), trying to stop attackers from stealing oil from a refinery in Baghdad.
In case you've been living under a rock, Cena is quickly becoming a hot commodity in entertainment. Pro Wrestling Sheet also said that Cena got the role after Sylvester Stallone dropped the part.
The film will be directed by Scott Waugh (Need for Speed) and produced by a team including 64-year-old martial arts master Chan.
Hollywood megastar Jackie Chan has apparently found a new partner in crime in fellow Hollywood colleague and 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena, who is now all set to team up with the former for an upcoming action thriller movie. "The Marine had been fooled into thinking he was working to seize illegally-gotten Chinese assets before he learns that he was had, and partners up with the Snow Leopard Commando". At this point, WWE fans would be lucky to see him in the ring very sporadically.
The Chan and Cena combo is seen as an electrifying one as the latter too like the former is adept in both hardcore action and comedy as witnessed in the latest hit "Blockers".
