Nintendo officially revealed Fire Emblem: Three Houses today, and those who have been waiting for a proper Fire Emblem game on consoles are nearly certainly going to be pleased by its trailer. During its E3 press conference, the house of Mario finally unveiled Three Houses, a game built from the ground up for its portable-console hybrid. At the Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo reveal the wonderful trailer for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It also showed a rich cast of characters battling with some attractive turn-based combat and attack animations.
And, in battle, whenever you move a unit, formations of troops will move with them to support them when fighting enemy soldiers.
"Three Houses" is the first mainline "Fire Emblem" title to hit the Switch.
The trailer shows off the best graphics we've ever seen for the franchise while retaining the turn-based strategy gameplay the series specializes in.
How nice is it that we can take new Fire Emblem games for granted now? For instance, Fire Emblem: Heroes will sport anime-style cut-scenes, and it will also allow players to interact with party members outside of battle.
Otherwise, it seems we can expect more of the same characters and JRPG gameplay we've come to know and love.
"Fire Emblem: Three Houses" is set for a 2019 launch.
