It all looks quite exciting, as Ubisoft continues to show support for VR -= it was mentioned that Transference will be playable without VR as well - as the market continues to grow, and this has a real shot at being their best yet. He introduced the game with the ominous words, "Have you ever dreamed of exploring someone else's consciousness, exploring their deep dark thoughts?" Will the gap between movies and VR games be thoroughly obliterated, or will your sanity be the first to go inside this horror exploration experience? Doesn't sound much like Super Mario Brothers, does it? At least it's not a VR game. oh wait, it is.
Players will plunge into the experiment of a troubled scientist, a corrupted digital simulation of his family formed using their collective brain data. We don't know what is more terrifying here - the manic father, the small child in the hall, or the 8-bit monster that starts chasing you. Pass the laudanum, please. The game will be available in VR (PlayStation®VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive) and traditional platforms (PS4, Xbox One and PC) Fall 2018.
Transference's Ubisoft Montreal has already partnered up with film production company Spectrevision, and actors and actresses such as Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller & Lisa Whalen are to tell character-driven stories and create mystery.
