The latest Golden Buzzer was given out tonight on America's Got Talent!
Howie Mandel was even more enthusiastic as he told her: 'You're from a whole different era, ' before he went on to compare her to Janis Joplin and tell her how she got her record deal after being discovered by Clive Davis.
However, when it came time to actually audition, no one was expecting the kind of performance the shy teenage "AGT" hopeful was going to pull out.
The schoolgirl was supporting music legends Sister Sledge at the annual event, which saw her manage to get the crowd on their feet during her energetic three-song set. After she was done rocking out, the judges were quick to shower Courtney with praise. "And then you sing, and you're like a lion", Cowell marveled. "I mean, genuinely incredible". The judge marveled, "You are not from this era". Clyde Davis, he, goes to the Monterey Pop Festival and he sees this young girl that nobody has ever seen before and that nobody knows.
"Thank you so much Howie Mandel I am so happy and can't thank you enough".
She won the title of the Mail's Performer of the Year at the Best of Hartlepool Awards last year. Mandel shared, as he leaned over to smack the coveted Golden Buzzer, sending her directly to the live rounds of the competition.
"America's Got Talent" returns for its fourth night of auditions next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CityTV.
She admitted she was nervous when she took to the stage in spite of encouragement from Mel B - but quickly left the judges stunned with her performance of Hard To Handle, Simon Cowell looking particularly astonished by her powerful voice.
And the young talent is no stranger to the limelight of TV, having already stared in the ITV's The Voice Kids a year ago.
