"We are so proud to finally be able to reveal our next Metro game to the world, and would like to thank all the Metro fans for their patience", said Andriy Prokhorov, Creative Director and co-founder at 4A Games previous year. "We can't wait to reveal more of Artyom's journey in the coming months".

Metro Exodus is set to release on February 22, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows.

Metro Exodus kicks off in the year 2036 following a devastating nuclear war, with a band of survivors barely clinging onto life in the Metro tunnels underneath the ruins of Moscow.

The original Metro games, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light, are some of the most well-received single-player shooters around, and Metro Exodus offers a greater variety of environments to explore in its wasteland setting.

In Metro Exodus, you'll explore vast open levels as you journey across post-apocalyptic Russian Federation.
