Alec Baldwin says he’d ‘absolutely win’ if he ran for president

Stern suggested that Baldwin might be the hope of the Democratic party (Heaven help us), but Baldwin quickly cut him off and said, "I'm not".

"I'm told she loves it", Baldwin continued.

During a chat on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show on the 11th of June, Monday, the 60-year-old said he would "absolutely win" with "1000%" certainty.

The actor also notes how his presidential campaign would be "the funniest, most exciting, most insane campaign", which makes the prospect of him engaging in a political tête-à-tête with the current POTUS all the more exciting.

Republican strategist, Ana Navarro, told CNN's Brooke Baldwin that President Donald Trump's election proved that anybody in America could run for the highest office.

Baldwin, who won an Emmy for his "Saturday Night Live" portrayal of Trump and is one of the president's most vocal critics, has touted his potential presidency before.

The actor and the president are somewhat connected.

"Somebody great is going to come up, I hope", Baldwin said.

"I'd love to run for that kind of position to just have things be common sense", Baldwin explained. "There are so many things that this country needs to do that are so obvious".

Baldwin said he wants Democrats "to have a smart opposition to keep them on their toes".
