"Starlink" is Ubisoft's foray into the "toys-to-life" market, and will involve players building and customizing toy starships that mount directly to standard gamepads for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
Lead a group of interstellar pilots as you build your own starship, explore the Atlas Star System, and battle the vile Grax and his Forgotten Legion. You can check out the game's E3 trailer below along with the one featuring Star Fox. Featuring special guest pilot Fox McCloud and his Arwing. "Our team created both a tech breakthrough and a new way to adapt the game on the fly to take on any challenge". Fox, the Arwing and exclusive missions will be in this version of the game. There's no word if this will be bundled with some copies of the game, or if it will be required to access the Star Fox content, but it sure was a pretty looking model. Changes to your physical ship instantly appear in-game allowing you to immediately jump into the battle. Be careful, as space is a hostile environment and will present many challenges. But continuing to do so, especially if you're a Nintendo fan, would be a mistake. Why? Each ship, weapon, and character has unique abilities and attributes to consider, so you'll want to be able to swap pieces in and out as you go.
