The Daily Mail reports that one school in Bristol said in a statement: 'We've heard some of our children, including in Year 3, are playing a game online called Fortnite ... if your child is playing this game talk to them and make sure you know what they are doing'. She went on to say the primary schoolgirl would secretly get up in the night and play until dawn.
When they questioned her, the girl broke down and told them everything. "But then she lashed out and hit my husband in the face".
She tearfully confessed she had been getting up in the middle of the night while they were asleep, sometimes playing the game until 5am.
The girl is now undergoing psychotherapy to cure her from her addiction.
In a last ditch attempt to help their daughter, her parents contacted an addictions counsellor who agreed to provide psychotherapy sessions.
But, now horrified parents have come forward to tell how their daughter became hooked to the game and would play up to 10 hours straight.
