The 2018 NBA Draft is just over a week away, and as such, teams are wrapping up their individual and group workouts as they narrow down their targets. According to a report from Jonathan Givony, Doncic will indeed remain in the draft.
Doncic, a native of Slovenia, now is playing for Real Madrid against Baskonia in the best-of-five championship series in Liga ACB, the Spanish professional league.
That said, the Cavaliers should have an immediate trade lined up in order to draft Doncic, but they need to make sure he falls out of the top three first. He is 6'6 with the ability to play forward and run the offense like a point guard.
Doncic has received high praise, with many people considering him as the best European prospect of all-time.
With the NBA Finals officially wrapped up and the Golden State Warriors celebrating their third championship in four years (an absolutely remarkable feat if you followed the miserable Warriors for the previous few decades), basketball teams and fans can now turn their attention fully to the upcoming NBA Draft.
Los Angeles has also expressed interest in making a move up for Missouri's Michael Porter Jr., but they appear to be favoring Doncic if he slides.
