West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic refuses to shut down Man Utd talk

Marko Arnautovic sends message to Jose Mourinho over Man Utd transfer

Marko Arnautovic is being linked with Manchester United

West Ham United have told Manchester United and other suitors that they will have to pay £60m if they want to sign Marko Arnautovic this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Austrian has emerged as a shock target for Jose Mourinho over the past fortnight after an impressive second half of his debut season at the London Stadium.

Mourinho is interested in working with Arnautovic again, having briefly worked with him during his time at Inter Milan.

Arnautovic has been quizzed on the reported interest from United on a regular basis since that outing against Russian Federation, but he is giving little away when it comes to his future. Whatever happens will happen. "I've never heard anything", Arnautovic is quoted as saying.

Arnautovic has been the subject of interest from Jose Mourinho in recent weeks as the Portuguese tactician was spotted scouting him on global duty last week.

"Even three weeks ago I haven't heard anything".

"That's why I can not say anything about it".

Despite his success in retaining the Hammers' top-flight status, West Ham decided against renewing Moyes' contract, opting instead to appoint veteran boss Manuel Pellegrini, who lead Manchester City to the Premier League title back in 2014.

'You can keep asking this question but you'll never hear the answer from me'.

Sky Sports News understands United are interested in signing the Austria worldwide, however, West Ham have no intention of selling Arnautovic - who they value at £50m.
