Having been announced five years ago nearly to the day, Square Enix has today finally slapped a release date on Kingdom Hearts III, meaning it's okay to start getting really excited about the game's arrival.
During the Kingdom Hearts concert, a release date was finally revealed.
Kingdom Hearts III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure and support each other through hard times. Nomura confirmed the release date for the game and apologized that it's a bit later than planned.
Square Enix had originally said that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be out in 2018 so in some ways this is a delay on what was promised. Never change, Square Enix. Kingdom Hearts II came out in 2006. Released as part of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, the compilation also included a PlayStation 4 version of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance as well as the movie Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover. Through the power of positivity and friendship, Sora, Donald and Goofy unite with iconic Disney-Pixar characters old and new to prevail tremendous challenges and persevere against the darkness threatening their worlds.
