The 29-year-old's future looked bleak under Arsene Wenger and even a season-long loan back to Deportivo La Coruna backfired for the striker.

Instead, new manager Unai Emery will be tasked with returning the Gunners to the Premier League summit following another disappointing campaign which saw them finish sixth.

Aubameyang only arrived at Arsenal in January, but he thinks change will do the Gunners some good.

Emery explains his style as intense and pressing and Arsenal fans thinks that Ozil will not fit the Spaniard's game play as the German global has been always accused of being lazy.

"When we built the stadium the banks asked me to commit for five years, the first time (Real Madrid called) it was inside the five years and I thought, "no I could not do that, that would betray my club", he told beIN SPORTS.

While fearlessness and hard work has always underlined Emery as a manager, his ability to come up with innovative tactical schemes at the drop of the hat will come good for Arsenal, who have often lacked a "Plan B" in the recent years.

"I just felt that it was a very sensitive period for Arsenal".

Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan said he was looking forward to a new approach at Arsenal after the Spaniard's appointment.

"I can't see who's going to challenge them".

However, Arsenal legend Keown believes Italy worldwide Verratti could be the answer to the Gunners' midfield conundrum. The man at the helm of PSG last season was indeed Unai Emery, and the manager's failure to frequently pick Rabiot last term could mean that the Frenchman opts not to rejoin his former boss.
