Egyptians react after Ramos causes suspected Mo Salah shoulder injury

How Bob Bradley helped Mohamed Salah on his ascent to global stardom

'I love Him, He Looks Like Messi' - Ronaldo Praises Mo Salah

Even across the pond, we could swear we heard the collective gasp in Kiev, Ukraine, as Liverpool star Mohamed Salah left the pitch with a shoulder injury on Saturday.

Salah was brought down when he tangled with defender Ramos inside Madrid's half and appeared to twist his shoulder as he fell.

He also revealed his favourite Liverpool player in the current squad and it's not his best friend, Jordan Henderson, or Mohamed Salah - but Roberto Firmino.

Egyptian officials have commented on Salah's injury, stating he is still expected to participate in the World Cup.

However, hopes that Salah would light up the competition in Russian Federation, just as he has did in the Premier League and Champions League, appear to be over after the Egyptian reportedly suffered a dislocated shoulder on Saturday.

Although it's too early to know the extent of the injury, this will raise concerns that it could see him miss out.

Mo Salah's 2018 World Cup could be in doubt after being substituted in the Champions League final. Both players have won or achieved a draw all the matches where they've scored the first goal.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, argued that he is "completely different" to Salah and should, therefore, not be compared to him.

Asked if Salah can star again for the Reds in the final, the 2005 Champions League victor told talkSPORT: "Yeah, definitely".

The race couldn't be closer: Ronaldo has scored 50 goals for club and country this season, just two more than Salah. "I would also say he's possibly one of the most underrated No.9s in world football".

Given their respective goal records this season, it was billed as Salah vs Cristiano Ronaldo pre-match, not just for this game but potentially for the Ballon d'Or too. "I need to think about the game, nothing else".
