Samsung has confirmed the launch of the much-awaited Galaxy J6 (2018) on May 21. Interested users can also register on the Samsung website to be notified of the Galaxy J6 launch. Samsung, which used to be the market leader, has conceded its place to Xiaomi due to these Chinese smartphone makers offering modern design at a cheaper price.

The Samsung Galaxy J6 will be equipped with a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED Infinity Display with a resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Earlier specifications of the Galaxy J6 were leaked online by SamMobile along with specifications of another smartphone called Galaxy J4.

Under the hood, the Galaxy J6 will be integrated with Exynos 7870 processor, 2GB/3GB/4GB including 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage. Samsung is likely to offer the Galaxy J6 in three different storage options varying from 2GB or 3GB or 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB storage. The rear camera will be 13MP while the front camera will be 8MP and the phone is expected to pack a 3000 mAh battery. The device will be pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo on top of Samsung Experience. It is to be noted that the aspect ratio is similar to that of the Galaxy S9+ series.
