Mohamed Salah's boots added to British Museum collection

Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah has had a pair of his boots added to a collection at th Bitish Museum, according to the Independent.

The British Museum stated on its official Twitter account: "We've made an exciting new acquisition!"

Salah's donation is apparently the first-ever football boots shown by the museum, who are aiming to highlight the efforts of a modern Egyptian hero.

Salah also played a key role in Egypt's qualification for the World Cup and is set to feature for them in Russian Federation this summer.

Salah scored 32 goals for the Reds in the 2017-18 season, earning him the coveted Golden Boot.

Neal Spencer, assistant keeper of the museum's Ancient Egypt and Sudan department, said the boots were an important exhibition of modern Egyptian history.

Mohamed Salah's outstanding season with Liverpool has been recognized by the British Museum in England as his boots were added to the Egyptian section of the museum.

Salah is not finished yet, though, as he heads to the Champions League final on Saturday week in Kiev against holders Real Madrid and thence to Russian Federation leading Egypt's line in their first World Cup appearance in 28 years. Muslim leaders claim his success is helping tackle Islamophobia.
