The Utes agreed to a 2-game series against national power Kentucky beginning this coming season.

ESPN 700's Bill Riley reports that the Utes and Wildcats, who played for the national championship in 1998, will square off at Rupp Arena in Lexington in 2018-19.

Larry Krystkowiak just completed his seventh season as the Utah head coach. The Utes are joined in that field by Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, LaSalle, Miami, Northwestern and Seton Hall. Five players from a year ago will participate at the upcoming NBA Draft Combine in Chicago May 16-20, including Hamidou Diallo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Knox, Jarred Vanderbilt and PJ Washington.

Utah and Kentucky have a storied history in the NCAA Tournament.

The most memorable game for United Kingdom fans was seeing the Wildcats beat Utah in the 1998 National Championship game in San Antonio, Texas.
