Metro Nashville Police say a shooting in a Waffle House has left three people dead and four wounded.
Authorities said the gunman started shooting inside the restaurant around 3:25 a.m. The gunman then fled the restaurant on foot.
Police said the gunman arrived in a vehicle registered to Reinking, though the gunman was last seen walking nude away from the scene.
Police have identified 29-year-old Travis Reinking as the suspect after initially calling him only a 'person of interest'.
Local media citing police on the scene reported the gunman was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle - a weapon commonly used by mass shooters in the USA, where debate over gun control is fierce and shootings are all-too-frequent.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center officials said they received three patients from the shooting: one was considered critical but stable and the two others were in critical condition. Witnesses described the gun as an AR-15.
