This isn't Fitbit's first foray into the smartwatch market, but with the Versa, they take everything that they have learned from the Fitbit Blaze and Ionic and improve the Fitbit smartwatch experience in nearly every way. It launched the Ionic late a year ago and pushed a number of major software updates to it. The Versa is now available for purchase from Fitbit's website and Amazon for just $199. It's Fitbit's second true smartwatch, and I like it better than the first one. In addition to the design and UI changes, the Versa will also include an extremely impressive battery, which can last for up to four days without a charge.
Last month, Fitbit announced their new range of activity trackers including the new Versa. Fitbit has also included water resistance up to 50 meters, along with a heart-rate monitor, and built-in Global Positioning System.
The smartwatch is available in three colour options - black case with black band, silver case with gray band and rose gold case with peach band. The Fitbit Versa is a smaller Fitbit Ionic aimed at women, that comes with a more attractive aluminium body that's only 11.2 mm thick and a choice of bands. Only the standard black model is available for immediate shipping (it's still another week or two for the others).
