Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah says helping the team win the Champions League is more important than any individual award he could receive this season.

The Egyptian participated in Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday and he scored the second goal for his team through a header.

Their success hasn't been limited to the Premier League either, as they now find themselves in the semi finals of the Champions League after an impressive quarter final display against Manchester City. If I had a choice between the Champions League and the Golden Boot, then of course it would be the Champions League, no doubt the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp had been tipped to make significant changes, but a growing injury list and a desire to see off Chelsea for a Champions League qualification spot means he has gone close to full strength. I don't care about the rest.

It was Salah's 30th league goal for Liverpool as he found the net for the seventh successive home league match. It's in his mind and he says his teammates are doing all they can to ensure he collects the prestigious individual accolade.

After finishing fourth in the league last season, they are now third and tussling with Manchester United for second spot in the Premier League, and have been a joy for all to watch this season. "I can not lie - it is in my mind", he added. "I am also sure that Tottenham's players try to help Kane, and also Manchester City's try to help Sergio Aguero".

"I know many people will disagree with this, but in my opinion, Mohamed Salah is the best player in the history of Egyptian football", Mido said.

"We could see how strong he was mentally with the way he handled himself when he didn't play at Chelsea".

Salah continued his goal-scoring form and has become one of the only eight players to score 30 goals in a single PL season. That's not me just being a rose-tinted Liverpool idiot (though yeah, I'm that too), that's a striker recognising class in front of goal. But even in the end I said it - I try to score every game to help the team.
