According to television station WSPA-TV in Asheville, North Carolina, Harry Anderson - the one-time New Orleans resident, professional flim-flam man and star of the 1980s TV series Night Court - was found dead at his home in Asheville today.
Harry starred on nearly 200 episodes of Night Court as Judge Harry Stone after first breaking out on Saturday Night Live in the early 1980s. During his span playing the role of Stone, Anderson received two Primetime Emmy nominations for Best Lead Actor.
Anderson was born on October 14, 1952, in Newport, RI, wyff4.com reported, adding Anderson also starred on the CBS comedy "Dave's World" from 1993-97, and appeared on "Saturday Night Live" from 1981-85.
TMZ reported Monday evening that no foul play is suspected in the death of the genially-deadpan actor who first rose to fame as a magician/stand-up comic.
