Domhnall Gleeson in talks to join The Kitchen

Domhnall Gleeson is in final negotiations to join the cast of "The Kitchen", which also has Elisabeth Moss, Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Margo Martindale as part of the cast.

Directed by Andrea Berloff, screenwriter on Straight Outta Compton, The Kitchen takes place in 1970s NY and revolves around three mob wives who take over their husbands' criminal enterprise in Hell's Kitchen when the men are busted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At first, these three women are underestimated by their peers, but the wives become even more successful at running the organized crime game than their husbands were.

Andrea Berloff is making her debut with the movie, which she has adapted from the 2014 graphic novel series by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle that hit shelves from Vertigo. According to a previous report, "McCarthy is an adoring mother who leads the women's charge to take over the business while Haddish plays a woman willing to kill anyone in the way of her plan". "The Kitchen" hits theaters on September 20, 2019.

Gleeson stars as the villainous General Hux in the latest "Star Wars" movies, along with roles in "Peter Rabbit" and "Goodbye Christopher Robin". Domhnall Gleeson is said to be extremely close to signing on as Vietnam vet Gabriel O'Malley; a man who worked as a hitman and managed to escape the authorities by skipping town. He returns to settle scores when the wives take over.
