Sony unveils new audio products including headphones and speakers starting at Rs 2990

Sony India launches its 2018 headphone and Wireless Speaker lineup

SRS-XB41, SRS-XB31 and SRS-XB21 will be available across all Sony Center and major electronic stores in India.

In a bid to solidify its position in the personal audio segment, Sony has unveiled its new lineup of audio products in India.

The highlight of this product lineup is the company's first truly noise cancelling headphone that also supports digital noise cancelling technology. With WF-SP700N, Sony is offering the flexibility to experience without tangling with any cables, and yet get core features like noise cancellation and splash-proof design. The headphones series is created to offer premium and refined sound, says the company.

All of these headphones come with Bluetooth connectivity, NFC and are optimized for use with Google Assistant. They have a battery life of 3 hours and also come with an open charging case which extends the battery backup up to 9 hours. A wireless design is important when wearing headphones on the go, keeping this in mind the company has designed the wireless noise cancelling headphones, WF-SP700N which is combined with digital noise cancelling technology and splash-proof design. The cheaper SP500 claims to offer eight hours of battery. The WH-CH500 and WH-CH400 are over-the-ear wireless headphones that offer up to 20 hours of battery life and are priced at Rs. 4,990 and Rs. 3,790 respectively. After the update, those using these headphones can ask questions and get things done.

The WH-CH500, WH-CH400, and WI-C300 have Google Assistant support built-right in.

All the models have Bluetooth, NFC connectivity and and have a dust and water resistant body. The three headphone models will be available from 15 May.

The new range of headphones include six new models - WI-C300, WH-CH400, WH-CH500, WI-SP500, WI-SP600N, and WF-SP700N. The WH-CH500 for Rs 4,490, along with the features on the CH400, has a swivel design that makes it convenient to carry.

In addition to these headphones, Sony has also launched SRS-XB41, SRS-XB31 and SRS-XB21 Extra Bass wireless speakers. WI-C300 in-ear wireless headphones come in Black, Blue, Red, White colour options and will be available starting today at Rs 2,990.

All three speakers are IP67 certified for waterproof, dustproof, rustproof and feature line lights, strobe lights (not on XB21) and speaker light (only on XB41).
