I love Mickelson at this price.
While there's no official yardage for this event, which gives officials flexibility in terms of set-up, Austin Country Club is one of the shorter courses on the Tour schedule. This is the first time since 2013 that he has had multiple top-10 finishes in the same season. There are 16 groups of four players, each group led by one of the top 16 seeds. Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Adam Scott and Rickie Fowler are skipping Match Play for the second straight year.
"Bubba is a two-time major victor and "Gracey" has been a great match player in Presidents Cups".
Earlier in March Paul Casey won his first PGA Tour event in nine years after winning the Valspar. Johnson has finished in the top-16 in each of the four tournaments he's played in 2018, which includes victory in January's Sentry Tournament of Champions. The other three players for each group come from seeds 17-32, 33-48 and 49-64. That draw was to be held Monday night. It's a round-robin format in the group stages - played from Wednesday to Friday - with the group winners progressing into the knockout stages over the weekend.
The round of 16 and quarterfinals are played on the same day, as are the semifinals and championship match, so the victor of this event will have played seven rounds in five days.
The +637 favourite at Sports Interaction is Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, who shot a spectacular final-round 64 to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando on Sunday.
Tony Romo makes his PGA Tour debut at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship in the Dominican Republic. Defending champion: Dustin Johnson. In the final, he beat Jon Rahm on the 18th hole.
It's been a tough couple of days for Justin Thomas, and he hasn't played an event in three weeks. Thomas defeated List in a playoff at the Honda Classic last month. He qualified previous year but was busy getting married.
No surprises here. Rory comes in as the favorite after his triumph at Bay Hill, followed by the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the world in Johnson and Thomas.
Day, who also won the 2014 edition in extra holes, says he loves the head-to-head combat of match play - where his ranking as the US Tour's No.1 putter is a valued weapon.
