The 29-year-old quarterback was one of the top targets in free agency for several teams. They turned down his request last summer for a one-year, $4 million extension. For the first time in 11 years I will participate in choosing where I play.

Bradford enjoyed his best pro season in 2016, throwing for 3,877 yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions for the Vikings before he made only two appearances a year ago due to a knee injury. KUSA-TV in Denver reported he will receive at least $36 million over two years.

Former Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has reportedly found his next National Football League home. But Washington missed the playoffs by losing their regular-season finale at home to the New York Giants. Cousins has never won a playoff game in his career, though he's been as consistent as nearly anyone in the last three seasons.

The deal for Cousins also will be fully guaranteed, which means that the Vikings will have to pay mostly all of that money into escrow at signing, as part of an outdated rule aimed at protecting players from potentially insolvent teams.

The deal can not become official until the new league year begins on Wednesday.

Cousins is coming off a 2017-18 campaign in which he threw for 4,093 yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while completing 64.3 percent of his passing attempts.

With the Vikings on the verge of signing Cousins to a huge deal, a source said they might look to trim salary with some players on their roster.

With Cousins, the Vikings are getting one of the more prolific quarterbacks in the NFL.

A day before the official onset of free agency, the quarterbacks dominoes are falling into place. But, until he inks a deal with another team, he is still just a free agent who is a former Redskin. The importance of ball security can not be overstated after the Broncos' quarterbacks fired 22 picks last season.

Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch all started games for the Broncos, the latter pair failing to win in any of their appearances in a miserable first year for head coach Vance Joseph.
