The new outdoor smart lighting comes in a variety of options, with wall mounts, bulbs and spotlights all going live later this year - all of which sync up with your existing Philips Hue Bridge and will be controllable within the all new Philips Hue app - 3.0 - which is also set to go live in the coming months.
At launch, the new outdoor products will include a trio of wall-mounted fixtures, spotlight and path lighting options, and a new, weather-rated Philips Hue outdoor floodlight bulb.
Our customers are always looking for new ways to extend their smart lighting system and the new Philips Hue outdoor range takes it a huge step further.
Philips on Monday announced its Philips Hue outdoor lineup will launch in the USA and Europe in July.
Philips says the Lily spotlight can be used to "highlight the key design features in your garden, illuminating attractive flower beds, or potted plants", whereas the Calla bollard is ideal for "path lighting and can also be used to enhance your outdoor space". Once connected to a standard Philips Hue hub, the lights can be controlled through the Hue app or a voice assistant. We now know the product lineup will be available in July and span the company's three main ranges, Philips Hue white, Philips Hue white ambiance, and Philips Hue white and color ambiance. With the location awareness on your mobile phone the Hue lights you choose outdoor and indoor can turn on automatically to welcome you home.
Like other Hue bulbs, you can set up lighting routines and schedules, control them remotely, and they support Apple's HomeKit platform.
With several products to choose from in the Philips Hue white outdoor range, you can select the best product to suit the aesthetics of your home and your personal lighting needs. Alternatively, the Philips Hue Calla is ideal for path lighting and can also be used to enhance your outdoor space.
