Like the 50v50 game type that players have previously experienced, the Teams of 20 mode promises bigger teams and bigger battles.
Fortnite Battle Royale is getting a new update tomorrow and with it, a brand new play mode which is going to be available for a limited time only. The squad that earns the Victory Royale at the end of each match emerges victorious.
Fortnite's limited-time modes generally run for about five days, so we'd expect testing to wrap up around Monday or Tuesday next week. "The team has some ideas, though, so players should see updates in the future".
Fortnite has been doing a stellar job mixing up its Battle Royale formula by regularly adding temporary game modes. Should the development team implement improvements such as one being able to locate all of their team members on a map by way of a marker, color, or symbol of some kind, then there will likely be some epic forts built and legendary firefights that take place within the mode. Fortnite fans can also check out the mode's announce trailer further below.
This isn't the first time Fortnite's developers have introduced a radically new mode - after last year's VGAs they launched a 50 v 50 mode to the masses.
Both games are available to play on PC and Xbox One, while Fortnite is also available on PS4.
As with previous Large Squad events, Battle Pass challenges can be completed in this event.
