The smartphones are expected to be available from April this year.
At the other end of the scale is the company's new Nokia One, a budget device, but one that runs a streamlined version of the latest Android software, called Android Oreo Go Edition. The handset might sport a 5.1-inch full HD display and come with 19-megapixel rear camera, plus a 13-megapixel lens for selfies.
"HMD only began shipping internationally in the last seven months of 2017, and yet over that period it delivered more than 8 million smartphones".
"We see especially with the Nokia 1 there is this unique opportunity that so many previous feature phones users are getting ready to embrace smartphones, and there were maybe reasons why they haven't moved to a smartphone as quickly as we would have liked", Seiche said. And it features wireless charging alongside the standard charging.
This is the first Nokia phone to get an 18:9 display that measures 6 inches and comes with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and is covered with Gorilla Glass.
Nokia's 8110 - the distinctive "candy bar" feature phone with a slider opening - was once the phone that everyone wanted but no one could afford, made popular through the Matrix film franchise.
In terms of performance, the Nokia 7 Plus runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The cameras aren't exactly anything to write home about either, with a 5 MP sensor on the back and a 2 MP shooter on the front. The Android One smartphone has been pitched towards "creators"; it includes dual rear cameras using Zeiss optics and includes a Bothie feature which allows you to snap a shot from both the front and back camera at the same time.
For those not looking to pay flagship money for a device running last year's Snapdragon chipset, Nokia now also has an updated Nokia 6 (pictured above).
It has 3000mAh battery with fast charging.
And here comes another surprise. The rear cameras on the Nokia 8 Sirocco are the same as the ones on Nokia 7 Plus, but it sports a 5MP camera unit for the front.
Reports shed lights on the fact that the Nokia 7 Plus smartphone might apparently come two color variants which in the leak are placed right side by side.
Under its "precision-crafted" stainless steel hood, the Nokia 8 Sirocco packs a Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 6GB RAM, and backed by a 3260mAh battery.
