The files reveal that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, though there might be a variant of Snapdragon 630 processor as well.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is expected to get launched sometime in June this year.

However, previous rumors have suggested that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will feature a Snapdragon 635 chipset.

Moreover, the firmware also revealed that the Mi Max 3 supports wireless charging and would come with iris recognition.

The Mi Max 3, on the other hand, not so much.

The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with octa-core CPU and Adreno 512 GPU.

XDA Developers has revealed some key specs and features of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 through a string of firmware files. The report claims that the device will come loaded with an 18:9 display. Now, XDA Developers have found more information about the device via its firmware files.

After launching two new smartphones and a television in India, speculation is rife about what could be Xiaomi's next big ticket launch. None of the brand's phones support wireless charging yet, so this will be quite an upgrade.

XDA reports that within the MIUI Keyguard APK, it discovered strings related to wireless charging and strings that tell whether charging has stopped and if yes, whether it is because of the device's position from the base of the charger.

Moving on, the report highlights that Xiaomi Mi Max 3 could feature a Sony IMX363 sensor or an S5K217+S5K5E8 Samsung dual camera module. At the front, a single camera is expected. According to OmniVision's official website, "the OmniVision's OV2281 is a PureCel sensor that brings enhanced biometric security functionality to mobile devices". The fingerprint scanner will present at the back of the phone itself, and there are chances of Xiaomi opting for IRIS scanning technology for the Mi Max 3. Last year, Xiaomi joined the Wireless Power Consortium and we all are expecting the Mi 7 to be the first Xiaomi smartphone to support wireless charging. Other features of the smartphone include IR Blaster, dual SIM support, 5500mAh battery with fast charging support and stereo speakers like the Mi Max 2.
