A missing 18-month-old boy has been found safe in Guadalupe County after his mother was found murdered and his father - the suspected killer - died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Concepcion kidnapped his son after killing his wife Sarah Alexis Furey following a discourse over a custody meeting.
Online court records show Concepcion had been in the middle of divorce proceedings since October 30, 2017, and that a temporary restraining order had been issued against him. It was unclear whether the restraining order was lifted, reports said.
The police said they were called into his home several times in the past for domestic issues since the couple separated.
Concepcion left the scene with a two-year-old child.
The couple had two other children together who were unharmed and not involved in the incident. The shooting marks the second violent incident recently in the area involving a former member of the military.
