T-Mobile's Galaxy J7 Prime, Tab E 8 To Get Android Oreo Update Soon

A few days ago, it was reported that the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Xiaomi Mi A1 was suspended.

Xiaomi had to suspend the rollout of Android 8 Oreo because a lot of users were complaining about performance-related issues. To put this in perspective, we must go to what the company has stated via its official Twitter account.

It's unclear if the Oreo update brings with it support for Project Treble, Google's modular upgrade scheme created to expedite the Android software update process, but phone manufacturers like Huawei have already introduced it. Nokia has also announced on Weibo that the Nokia 6 launched past year will also receive the Android 8.0 Oreo (stable) update very soon. HMD Global released Oreo Beta Labs for Nokia 6 here, last week.

Both the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 came with Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.

After the Oreo update, the smartphones will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously.

Nokia is seeding a January security patch update for Nokia 3 in many countries.

It's hard to digest that Honor has pulled back the update due to hardware and software limitation, and to be frank; it's one of the lame excuses we have ever heard.

The Mi A1 has a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 px LTPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection and aluminium unibody build. It is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset and boasts of features like "Bothie" and Nokia OZO audio capturing. When he's not under workload, he can be found playing Counter-Strike sometimes, watching animes or hibernating like a cat! This news comes just a month after Honor's CEO confirming the Oreo update's arrival for the smartphone, which makes the update cancellation news even more worse.
