Some people may balk at a game like Dark Souls being put on the otherwise family-friendly Nintendo Switch, but considering the console already has games like Doom on it, that's not so far-fetched anymore.
According to Dark Souls Remastered's store page, all Steam owners of Dark Souls: Prepare To Die will get a 50% discount. Most people including myself were anxious about the software lineup for the Nintendo Switch come 2018, but it seems that Nintendo knows what it's doing and will do its level best to ensure that the Switch is stacked with a number of exclusives and 3rd party titles to keep Switch owners entertained for the entire year.
Dark Souls is the first of the enormously popular Dark Souls trilogy, which popularized the genre of extremely hard RPG games alongside its sister game Bloodborne.
Dark Souls would go on to influence a slew of titles such as last year's Nioh, Absolver, and Bandai Namco's upcoming action JRPG Code Vein.
As is the case with all reports that come from anonymous sources, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it appears that these ports are being addressed by a separate company than the Switch port. Neither Bandai Namco, FromSoftware or Nintendo have confirmed the info yet. Laura Kate Dale has also claimed that the Nintendo Direct will air in the "next 2-3 hours", so we won't have long to find out.
