Pelosi's racist comments about immigration negotiators draws criticism from Hoyer

Hoyer calls Pelosi's 'five white guys' remark offensive

Pelosi on Trump: 'I Take Issue With a Person Presenting Himself as a Genius'

"To a person working paycheck-to-paycheck [who] just got a $1,000 bonus-that's not crumbs".

"I think the Democrats are going to regret not having supported this", Ryan said. "What we find is that a big percentage of our retention or maybe I should say our turnover takes with employees in the first two years with the company", Fish said.

"A number of companies are attributing the tax bill for being able to give higher wages to their employees as well as being able to give a number of bonuses to their employees". I'll bet a lot of the people receiving the bonuses don't think so, though we do have to sympathize with Pelosi, since she lives in a San Francisco neighborhood (when she isn't up at her fancy Napa Valley vineyard and luxury resort) where $1,000 isn't very much.

These comments included slamming the companies that have used their savings from the tax reform bill to give raises and bonuses to their employees.

Southwest Airlines will use some of the savings to purchase even more planes from Boeing.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi joked on Thursday that "five white guys" were leading talks on immigration reform - in a quip that went over like a lead balloon with her own top deputy.

Yet, Pelosi's peers are offended by her "five white guys" comment too.

"That could have been done months ago", Pelosi added, referencing the negotiations this week. The lack of involvement in these talks from nonwhite members of Congress delays the deal, she said, since any DACA agreement will require approval from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and other groups.

The "white guys" comment was quickly rebuked by Hoyer, who called it "offensive". "They've been working on it in a bipartisan way for a long time", Pelosi said. "I am committed to ensuring DREAMers are protected and I will welcome anyone to the table who wants to get this done", Hoyer said in a statement to Politico.
