India defeated hosts Pakistan by seven wickets to register their second consecutive win in the ongoing Blind Cricket World Cup, in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday. "We tried to get used to the New Zealand's environment and we are fully prepared", Tariq Stanikzai member of the national team said.

In other matches on the opening day to be played here, Bangladesh take on Namibia and Papua New Guinea play Zimbabwe. "This shows that we are prepared to achieve a good position in the competitions", Bahir Mahbob member of the national team said.

The U-19 event is no longer "just another junior tournament", as it grabs serious number of eyeballs.

Apart from being part of the Indian team for the 12th edition of the ICC Under-19 World Cup set to start on January 13, they have already graduated to first-class cricket.

Afghanistan had also made an impression in the 2016 World Cup where they won the plate final. The matches will be played at four venues-Christchurch, Tauranga, Queenstown and Whangarei.
