Dark Souls Remastered Goes to Switch

Experience the rich world of DARK SOULS in Dynamic 4K resolution when playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro system, Xbox One X, and STEAM. These ports are being handled by a separate company from the Switch port, and will feature rebuilt lighting and SFX based on Dark Souls 3, as well as upscaled textures. Dark Souls Remastered will also support up to six players in online multiplayer. Following up this announcement, Bandai Namco has recently revealed a Dark Souls box set that will be coming soon only to PS4. A description of the title for PC on the Bandai Namco Store said that if the PC version of Dark Souls is already owned, the remastered version would be 50% off. "From their first timid steps to absolute mastery, players will build their characters by strategically adapting to daunting foes, exploring haunting locations, and amassing a large collection of weapons, armor, and magic spells to wield for a truly unique playstyle". It was From Software's first entry in the medieval-Gothic RPG series under the Bandai Namco publishing label after originally releasing Demon Souls for the PS3 under Sony's label.

The Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set releases in Japan on May 24, and hasn't been announced for the west as of press time. That could rely on how well the Switch version of Dark Souls: Remastered sells, but that's just speculation on my part. Please stay tuned for more information regarding the final MSRP for the PC version.
