Palace have now suffered just one defeat in their last 12 league matches and while there will still be some moments of anxiety, mainly in the closing stages as another priceless win was so tantalisingly close, this was another performance to warm the hearts of the South London faithful. This team is organized and with Zaha in incredible form, they are causing big problems for many teams.
It was a slow start to the second half, with Sako unable to head a Timothy Fosu-Mensah cross on target on 54 minutes, before Vokes headed a Gudmundsson delivery into the side-netting.
The visitors briefly rallied after the break, with Ashley Barnes and Sam Vokes both heading narrowly wide. We are getting a good enough price on this bet and as a result that is the wager I am going to suggest.
"I was pleased particularly with the second half today", he said.
It is hard to criticise Burnley given the incredible job Sean Dyche has done with scant resources but their lack of offensive spark is, well, offensive, and for all N'Koudou's trickery there were few good chances created and none converted as Palace saw out a victory that drags them to vertigo-inducing heights, within touching distance of the top half. "Scott knows where it all stands, he knows the club's situation and he's been a very good player for us and continues to be".
Dyche added: "We've had a tough spell over Christmas, the team with injuries but also the fine, fine margins - we were a referee's decision - two probably - away from beating Manchester United and then a referee's decision away from beating Huddersfield and you don't get those points and it looks different".
"I have been [keen for him to stay] for a long time".
"I'm back in shape after injury and trying to give my best, the manager has confidence in me and I'm trying to give back".
