The new MINI Hardtop 2 Door, the new Cooper Hardtop 4 Door and the new Cooper Convertible get a modified design for the characteristic circular headlights along with the standard halogen headlights, LED headlights and the latest generation of LED modules for low and high beam.
Compared to the usual 3-door hardtop Mini, the new Convertible is basically the same, the biggest difference being the electrically foldable fabric roof, of course, which takes 18 seconds to retract and let the wind in your hair.
Thanks to their suite of "Mini Connected" services, the new models can access real-time traffic information and automatically update map data over a mobile data connection. Three new body finished for the cars include Emerald Gray metallic, Starlight Blue metallic, and Solaris Orange metallic.
Mini is flaunting its Britishness with a midlife facelift for its Mini hatchback and Convertible models, which now receive a Union Jack motif in the taillights, along with other minor design tweaks inside and out, additional features and a new dual-clutch gearbox option. The entry-level option is now a three-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol that gets increased torque, while higher pressure fuel injection is present in both diesel and petrol engines.
2019 MINI hatchback and convertible get a refresh, but you probably can't tell
An all-new, two-dimensional "Mini" logo has been rolled out for the first time, appearing on the bonnet, tailgate, steering wheel, multimedia system and remote control in all models.
The 2018 MINI range will be in MINI's United Kingdom showrooms in March. For the first time Mini is offering Find Mate for its 2018 range, which consists of wireless tracking tags that can be placed on items that you carry in the auto regularly, so you can find them if they are misplaced or lost. The new logo is also available as a puddle light, projected below the driver's side mirror. In addition, customers can specify a new 8.8-inch touchscreen navigation system with new user interface and greatly expanded features. Wireless charging is making its way into many new cars nowadays, and the Mini adds it as an option for 2019 as well.
Infotainment options remain the same as in the hardtop version of the Mini, with a standard 6.5-inch color display on the center console, and an optional 8.8-inch screen with Global Positioning System navigation. Apple CarPlay is also available as an option.
