The police later got a search warrant for Walker's home and ended up recovering some of Kelly's missing items.

TMZ reports that both of R. Kelly's Atlanta homes were cleaned out by burglars while the singer was on tour in New Orleans over Thanksgiving weekend. He has been charged with burglary, theft by taking and theft by deception.

When investigators visited another of Kelly's residences in the city, they then found it had also been burglarized.

Chris Byers told WSB-TV that Kelly's maid called police after she found one of the homes had been virtually emptied of valuables, including a diamond-encrusted hoodie. Almost everything was taken. including furniture, electronics and other property.

Walker was connected to the crime after a detective went to the second of Kelly's burglarized homes to do some follow-up work, Byers said.

The men told police they were hired by Kelly's associate, Alfonso Walker, to sell everything because the singer was moving his operation to Chicago, law enforcement sources told TMZ. However, Kelly's team told cops Walker was just a part-time employee.

Walker was supposed to turn himself into police on December 5, but failed to do so. Police believe that Walker sold the singer's possessions.
