Westbrook's triple-double helps Thunder rally past Jazz

Silver was in Mexico City on Thursday to be on hand as the Brooklyn Nets play the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

Allen Crabbe had 15 points for Brooklyn, playing without guards Jeremy Lin and D'Angelo Russell because of injuries and without power forward Trevor Booker after he was traded to Philadelphia before the game. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the first games played in Mexico City.

After three close wins at home, the OKC Thunder hit the road to take on the Brooklyn Nets.

George is suffering from a right calf contusion, having his calf wrapped in ice after the game against the Utah Jazz, while Grant is ailing from a left hip contusion, which should have them sidelined for today's global regular season game.

"I thought the biggest challenge was, if you look at our possessions, they were really, really good when we got downhill (with dribble penetration)", Thunder coach Billy Donovan said.

According to The New York Times, the National Basketball Association intends to put a G League (former D League) team in Mexico City, potentially as soon as next season.

Since Spencer Dinwiddie (5/4/7) spent most of the night in foul trouble and picked up his fourth foul early in the second quarter, he was held to just 19 minutes.

Westbrook led all scorers with 31 points but shot 10 of 27 and scored only five points in the fourth quarter. That allowed Caris LeVert (21/5/10) to step into a major ball-handling role and he didn't disappoint, delivering his first career double-double for the Nets in Mexico City.

Thunder: Shot 38.8 per cent (38 for 98) from the field and 12 for 24 at the free-throw line. They visit Toronto on December 15.

He also recorded two of his 42 triple-doubles against the Nets last season. They split two games against Atlanta before their trip to Mexico City.

"I feel that every game we are getting more comfortable within the roster", Atkinson said. Nets F Quincy Acy and C Tyler Zeller opposed each other in Mexico City on December 3, 2015, when Acy was with Sacramento and Zeller was with Boston.
