Up to three people have been hit by a auto in Lower Manhattan.

It happened about 1:15 in the area of Liberty St. and Broadway. Vehicle traffic in the area was closed as police investigated the situation.

At least three pedestrians were injured, according to the New York City Patch. There conditions were not immediately known but they were not believed to be life-threatening injuries. It jumped a curb during the crash.

Video of the scene showed a black vehicle with NY license plates having sustained heavy front-end damage.

Police said it appears the crash was an accident, not an intentional act.
