Iraq militia threatens US forces after Trump Jerusalem move

The warning comes hours before Pres. Trump is expected to upend decades of American foreign policy by moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and proclaiming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, CBS News reported.

"Certainly, the security is being stepped up all over the Valley and other sensitive areas of the State", said a police officer ahead of a meeting which was scheduled to be held here on Thursday evening to review the situation.

"The decision by Trump on Al-Quds (Jerusalem) makes it legitimate to strike the American forces in Iraq", Al-Nojaba militia chief Akram al-Kaabi said in a statement. "No civilized, democratic and peace-loving people will tolerate it".

Jerusalem is even more precious than the blood of Muslims and it can never be given to the Jewish group, they said.

"On 10th December, the global human rights day, Kashmiris will observe a complete shut down and blackout against gross human rights violations".

The leaders also called for a complete shutdown on worldwide human rights day on December 10 to lodge protest against criminal silencemaintained by champions of human rights over the worst kind of torture and oppression being carried out by forces in Kashmir. "By taking this kind of irrational decision, U.S. president Donal Trump is actually showing his imprudent politics, fascist behavior and enmity against Muslims", they said.

"The decision, which has no historical, political, humanitarian or diplomatic basis, is a disrespectful challenge not just to the Muslim world but also to all of humanity and the United Nations", it said.

"No Muslim can ever accept Jerusalem as the capital of Zionist state and so this decision is bound to fail", the leaders said.

In the joint statement issued here, the MMU termed Trump's decision as purely anti-Muslim and anti-Palestine stating that the move amounts to stabbing the heart of every Muslim.

"A protest rally towards United Nations observers' office at Srinagar will also be taken out from Hamza Masjid KokerbazarLalChowkon December 10".
