"David's relationship with 31-year-old Katie was said to have been complicated, and the 'Arrow" actress was mostly raised by her mother, model Sherry Williams, and stepfather Richard Benedon.
The arrangements were revealed in documents obtained by the Blast on Wednesday. Cassidy tried to fix his relationship with his daughter for several years, but he confirmed earlier this year that they were no longer communicating.
The relationship between David and his family had been strained due to his battle with alcoholism, but in spite of their past conflicts, his family rushed to his side after hearing of his hospitalization. In 2009, David told People Magazine that "Because I didn't raise [Katie], I didn't have to parent her".
It is important to point out that the will was filed in 2004 and David shared a tumultuous relationship with Katie, an actress best known for her portrayal of Laurel Lance, the alter ego of Black Canary on The CW's Arrow.
In the documents, David wrote: 'It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy'. Despite the distance between them, the "Flash" star recently revealed her father's last words will inspire her throughout the rest of her life.
During the same interview, Cassidy gushed over his son, Beau, who he still had a relationship with at that time.
"My father's last words were, "So much wasted time", Katie tweeted. Cassidy's three half-siblings will get anything that is deemed to be "music memorabilia". Originally it named his then-wife Susan as personal representative, but the role fell to his cousin following their 2016 divorce.
"I'm proud of her", he added.
As of late, Katie has not yet commented regarding her dad's decision to leave her out of his will.
"All references in this trust to my "child or children" are to Beau Devin Cassidy and such references shall not include Katherine Evelyn Cassidy no any descendent of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy", the will reads. Katie and Cassidy were last pictured together at a red carpet event in 2007.
