Some additional help has already come from the Motorsport Circuit, who are not only supporting the Salvation Army with a financial donation, but also manning the kettle at Canadian Tire for seven days, starting Thursday, Nov. 30.

"Our Red Kettle fundraiser is our largest fundraising event of the year", says Major Butch Frost, Corps Officer. "The Kettle Campaign's success depends on volunteer bell ringers", she said.

In addition to programs offered year round, this Christmas the Salvation Army anticipates it will help over 3,200 individuals with holiday assistance. "We are doing this to serve the community", said Maj.

Laura Devlin (R-134) will be participating in The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign by ringing bells on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 2-4 p.m., at Stop & Shop at 1160 Kings Hwy Cut-Off in Fairfield.

This Christmas the Salvation Army is seeking to raise $1,000,000.00 during the annual Tree of Lights Campaign.

Although store names were not mentioned by the Salvation Army, Spectrum News confirmed Belk is no longer allowing the bell ringers. "It's been a long-term relationship for us, a lot of good years that we've raised money so we hope to get that back somewhere down the line".
