Lachey was still the hunky 98 Degrees guy, and Simpson was fast becoming more than the sum of her parts-though her parts, particularly when they were on the display in Dukes of Hazzard, helped her along the way.

"In the end they weren't suited for each other", said Kolinsky. She was really young. "Her father was very involved in her life".

The sexy post racked up over 100k likes from admirers who called her "smoking", "beautiful" and "gorgeous in the comments".

"[Nick and Jessica] were ideal because they were polar opposites, they were handsome, and without even realizing it, they were amusing", Sue Kolinsky told Complex.

"There were times when we were like, "Hm, does she really not know what this means?' I truly believe the whole "chicken & fish" situation was accurate", she explained".

If you don't remember, back in 2003, Jessica and her former husband Nick Lachey were eating tuna fish when she asked, "Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish?".

Lachey and Simpson split after the final season, but that wouldn't come as a surprise to those on set. "Nick said, 'It's in rigor mortis, ' and Jessica said, 'Riga-what?' I truly believe she didn't know what that meant".

Joe Simpson evidently thought Jessica Simpson was far too young to be starting a family, though Nick, already in his 30s at the time, was interested in doing so from the start. And since then, both Simpson and Lachey have moved on to find love again.

In 2014, Simpson married former National Football League player Eric Johnson and the pair have two children together. The couple have two children: 6-month-old son Phoenix and 4-year-old son Camden. "It happens to the best of us", she tweeted wryly to Whole Foods about their own confusion.

And what a ride it was - according to Kolinsky, Newlyweds was reality TV "at its purest form". "It was a really special time for all of us".
