Owens wrote on Instagram that while she had struggled with her body confidence, her husband had loved "every curve, every roll, and every stretch mark on my body". "I love my body and I finally see why he does too!" "I never understood why!" she wrote alongside the photo, which was taken by Ryan W Media. "So handsome. Thank you".
The post, which has received almost 70,000 likes in under a week is of Jazzy and her husband in their swimwear at the beach. "But my husband was the one who first told me that they are just opinion and that I was too attractive to let the insecure, negative people impact my life". (Though for the record: Jazzy, you and your husband are a handsome couple.) That's why, a few days ago, Jazzy took to Instagram to share her journey from self-doubt to real self-love and body confidence.
But her acceptance did not come easily. This was the comment.
And the internet thinks she's an absolute queen. After having three kids it's been hard but he loves me anyway! "But when I saw this comment no lie it hurt!" "Not that I don't want to be fit one day, but he's willing to love me for me during my journey". Why would they say such rude things?
'This person does not know me. They don't know that I eat healthy, hike, go to the gym all the time and can most likely out lift them any day!
Jazzy told BBC Trending that she has been called "fat, ugly, unhealthy, that I'm going to die young, that my husband is cheating on me or only in it because I am rich" - something which she points out is not true.
'Just because I'm a big girl doesn't mean I'm unhealthy and promoting being unhealthy! Still, it's nice to get a reminder that self-love shouldn't be determined by comparing yourself to your partner and it definitely shouldn't be determined by what you see on Instagram. So for others that want to downplay me as a person and what I am trying to accomplish, go ahead leave your negative comment!
'Hating my body has made so many more issues for me then I had ever thought, from depression to anxiety to marriage problems, ' she explained in a post last month.
