Yesterday, Ninja Theory teased that an announcement would be made today that was related to their newest title "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice".
£24.99, or $29.99. That's nearly unbelievable for an indie game with AAA stylings, something we discovered when we talked to the developers a while back. PlayStation pre-orders come with an exclusive digital theme, while PC platforms get a "digital comic short". Ninja Theory's new game has strong Norse and Celtic overtones, and revolves around Senua's intimate journey into her own broken and fractured mind. Ninja Theory in the same post also chose to release one last trailer before the game's release. Expect the third-person action game to launch on both PlayStation 4 and PC starting August 8.
We've known about Ninja Theory's Hellbalde: Senua's Sacrifice for a while now, though fans remained in the dark regarding when the game was actually going to launch.
That doesn't mean that Hellblade won't follow the staples of traditional game releases, however, as pre-order bonuses were also revealed for the game today.
We also learned a bit more about the story being told in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.
"Ninja Theory and Valiant have been working behind the scenes for some time now, and we've had the chance to see the development process behind Hellblade up close", said Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani.
In Hellblade, we are aiming to revive the lost space between indie and AAA gaming.
