AAP MLAs heckle Mishra in Assembly

Kapil Mishra

Speaker Ram Niwas Goel critical of AAP MLAs involved in heckling Mishra

Suspended AAP leader Kapil Mishra was on Wednesday manhandled by some Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators, creating a commotion in the Delhi assembly.

Mishra had alleged that Health Minister Satyendra Jain gave Rs. two crore "illegal cash" to Kejriwal at the latter's official residence and helped "fix" land deals worth Rs 50 crore for Kejriwal's relatives.

Later, Goel adjourned the House, which was convened to pass the state GST bill, for 15 minutes.

Outside the House, Mishra claimed that he was not allowed to speak.

Mishra was escorted out of the assembly by marshals after a tussle with AAP MLA's in the house. Goel criticised the incident calling it "deeply disturbing". Whatever they (AAP MLAs) did was wrong.

"The incident that happened in the Assembly is such an unfortunate one; it is totally disrespecting the law and order".

When deputy CM Manish Sisodia got up to make a statement, Karawal Nagar MLA Mishra, who was sitting quietly in a back row, rose with the banner demanding a special session at Ramlila Maidan to discuss corruption allegations against Kejriwal and his ministers. It has happened even at the Lok Sabha. However, it was the first such incident during my tenure as Speaker.

"Before being marshalled out I was attacked by Madan Lal, Jarnail Singh and some other members", Mishra told reporters outside the assembly.

Mishra, on his part, said he was "violently attacked" and that he saw Manish Sisodia egging AAP legislators on.

While addressing Mishra said that Kejriwal and those close to him were involved in converting black money to white.

Sacked minister says he was "punched" and "kicked" by 5-7 AAP men, marshalled out BJP, Cong slam assault.

Since then, he has been levelling a series of charges, mostly related to alleged financial irregularities in the AAP government, and had also gone on an indefinite fast seeking details of foreign trips made by some top leaders of the party.
