Fabian was arrested in February, shortly after Verk's body was found wrapped up in "thin plastic sheets" and buried in a shallow grave just outside of Alpine. Verk, 21, from Keller, was a student at Sul Ross State University and had last been seen at Fabian's apartment.

Robert Fabian, the ex-boyfriend of Zuzu Verk, was indicted in her murder Friday morning, according to a report by NBC affiliate KWES-TV.

Verk, of Keller, went missing October 12. Her body was found in February.

His bond is set at $750,000.

Fabian was charged with "tampering with or fabricating physical evidence by concealing a human corpse" in February.

His attorney didn't immediately respond to messages seeking comment.

Meanwhile, neighbors who live in an apartment below Fabian's reported hearing the argument between him and Verk.

Fabian's friend, Chris Estrada, who was also charged with second-degree felony evidence tampering by concealment of a corpse, told investigators that he drove Fabian to an Alpine variety store the evening of October 12 and let Fabian use his credit card to buy plastic drop cloths.

A plastic painter's drop cloth, that was purchased on October 12, was also found.

Neighbours also told police that Fabian had played a movie loudly between 1am and 2am, and had then driven off alone at around 4am. "She was a sweet person and a people person and she loved doing what she liked, you know, and he took that all away from her", said Glenda Westerman, friend of the Verk family and Alpine resident.
