Williamsburg Woman Killed In Drunk Driving Crash While Celebrating Her 21st Birthday

The young woman's family is devastated. An Eyewitness News viewer captured this video of the scene: "She had a good heart, everybody that knew her loved her since she was little she was all about helping people, standing up for the little guy", Cabrera-Miner said.

She was a passenger in a gray 2013 Infiniti and was ejected from the vehicle when it crashed. The accident was cleared by 7:30 a.m., but lingering delays of up to 45 minutes remained.

In class, she "spoke often, and had smart things to say". There were three people in the vehicle, which was headed back to Brooklyn from Manhattan at about 3:30 a.m. Cops say they hit a median, splitting the auto in two. No other vehicles were involved.

Hoyte and his front seat passenger, identified by sources as 24-year-old Michael Camacho - also an NYPD traffic agent (of course) - were taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries.

According to DNA info, the automobile, driven by a boozed-up party boy, Stefan Hoyte, 26, cum off-duty NYPD traffic enforcement agent cop (oh the irony...) lost control and slammed into a barrier dividing the inner and outer roadway in the Brooklyn-bound lanes.

Police said that the driver is expected to be arrested after treatment for violating rules and driving while intoxicated. Amanda's mother says it's heartbreaking. The bridge is just down the street from the family's home, according to the TV station's report.
